At The Somatic OT, sessions are online and aim to provide a safe and supportive space to reconnect with your body, regulate emotions, and explore strategies that support everyday life and mothering.

Areas of Support:

  • Understanding attachment and relational patterns

  • Navigating boundaries

  • Integrating identity and role changes

  • Managing the mental load of mothering

  • Evidence-based parenting and attachment strategies integrated within an occupational therapy framework

  • Understanding developmental norms for infants and children, including biologically normal sleep and co-regulation requirements

  • Education about the nervous system and effects of stress or trauma

  • Complementary techniques used as adjuncts to occupational therapy, such as coaching, yoga, somatic tools and mindfulness-based practices.
